Ah, wedding planning. There are so many considerations that go into your wedding details and plans, one of which is where you’ll be saying “I do”. If you’re considering Alberta as your location but are in need of a venue, here are a few recommendations I have!

The Malcolm Hotel - Canmore

Perfectly in the centre of Canmore and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, The Malcolm Hotel is a luxurious mountain wedding venue. Featuring gorgeous high ceilings, in-house restaurant, guest accommodations and breathtaking scenery. Plus, guests can explore the quaint town of Canmore during their stay. A perfect rocky mountain wedding venue consideration!

Pine and Pond - Falun

Such a sweet venue space, Pine and Pond make it easy for couples by providing them with the set-up and take down, clean up and wedding planning. The venue is heavily surrounded by nature and features tree-lined pathways around their ponds with multiple viewpoints and lit up photo spots. There’s a honeymoon suite on-sight and an easily walkable campsite next door for all your guests. A really cute venue option for a laid-back romantic feel.

Azuridge Estate Hotel

Nestled in the Foothills in Priddus Alberta, Azuridge Estates Hotel is a luxury location for couples considering a secluded and exclusive wedding. The facility can hold up to 250 guests for the ceremony and 180 for the reception, in-house restaurant and catering, includes outdoor ceremony space, a getting ready room for the bride and groom, and guest accommodations. The scenery and stairway up the tower are truly show stopping. It is a truly breathtaking Alberta wedding venue location.

The Pioneer

Exposed brick, concrete flooring, high ceilings and sandstone walls - this venue is a gorgeous industrial space for couples who want minimal decor. Located right off of Stephen Ave, married couples have access to beautiful downtown photo backdrops. An incredible feature to The Pioneer wedding venue is its industrial floating staircase that offers amazing photo opportunities and perfect for your floor-level florals.

The Hemingway Room

Another industrial-style wedding venue in the heart of Calgary Alberta, The Hemingway Room is elegant, sophisticated and so much fun. The venue features exposed brick, 10 foot tall ceilings, in-house catering, and gorgeous feature chandeliers. Located in Ramsay, guests can enjoy multiple breweries, cute local shops, and the river nearby while in-between ceremony and reception.

Norland Historic Estate

I’m putting this on the list because I am dying to photograph a wedding here! Located on 9 acres of land in Lethbridge, Alberta, the Norland Historic Estate is a beautiful venue to consider for your wedding. Stunning architecture, outdoor and indoor ceremony space, 300 guest capacity, and stunning photo opportunities *hint hint*!
