Hi there, I’m Emily!
I’m a born and raised Calgarian who absolutely loves, LOVE. I love a good rom-com or sappy movie. I love bringing my camera anywhere and everywhere, documenting life exactly how it unfolds. I am a lover of sweet treats, animals and the great outdoors, and a photographer who loves everything unique to each real-life couple.
My wedding photography approach is very hands-off for the big moments with a focus on capturing each and every little detail. I zoom in on emotion and moments in a wedding day with soft guidance and prompt-forward for your portrait sessions — I won’t leaving you hanging. I lead each day with a very documentary-style approach, focused on capturing how it FELT to be there. The tear rolling down your partner's cheek, the embraces from your families after the “I do’s”, the laughter and joy as grandma tears it up on the dance floor. Honest images that take you right back. I will never force my couple to do something they’re not comfortable with, and I’ll ensure I GET TO KNOW MY COUPLES IN ADVANCE to the wedding day to capture your wedding photos as authentically as possible. Plus, the more we know each other, the more relaxed you’ll feel in front of the camera!

Essentials

My packages include 5, 7 and 10 hour coverage, as well as full weekend coverage. Additional hours can be added on and we can work together to determine your must-have moments to be captured during the allocated timeline.

Each package will receive a customized wedding day timeline that highlights the most important aspects of your day! Please note that if your timeline goes array (and most of the time they do), that our communication prior will ensure we have you set up for success. :)

Finding the right vendor is never easy. I’ve put together a list of trusted vendors so you don’t have to search.

You will have access to my email and personal hotline to answer any and all your questions! If you have any updates or are excited about the planning process, I love to keep up to date with all my wedding clients!

Within 72 hours, you will receive previews of your day through my eyes! I will try deliver the sneak peeks in a chronological way so you can relive your favourite moments.

Your final images will be delivered through a secure, online gallery that are perfect for printing and social sharing. Need guidance on printing? I can provide you recommendations and can lead in printing your photos at request!

I am very confident that your day can be captured by just one photographer - me! Sometimes however, there are cases where special moments happen in two different places. Adding on a second photographer is best in these cases! My 10-hour package includes a second photographer within the cost.

For my 5-hour packages, you will receive discounted pricing for an engagement session. I highly recommend engagement sessions as it is a fantastic opportunity for me to see how you are in front of the camera and how I can cater specifically to you on your wedding day. My 7-hour and 10-hour packages include a complimentary engagement session!

The most important day of your lives deserves to live printed in a fine-art heirloom photo album. These albums can be customized to suit your style and are printed by a trusted printer for the best quality.

Adding on a nostalgic feel can really enhance the overall look of your final gallery. I’ll document your way, the old-fashioned way!

The perfect reason to get dolled-up again and wear those amazing pieces of attire once more. An add-on bridal shoot allows you to spend more time with your guests and a longer more intimate portrait session after the wedding.

Need an extra hour or two of coverage added before or during your wedding? No issue! A-la-carte hourly coverage is the perfect way to ensure everything you want gets captured. Hourly price starts at: $440.
FAQs
When is payment due?
Upon confirming that we are the right fit, a 25% non-refundable retainer is required to confirm your wedding date. Your final payment will then be required up to 30 days your wedding date. Payment plans can be discussed. :)
What if my wedding is more out-of-the-box?
Hell yeah! I love ALL weddings, as each are so unique to the couple. The quiet and quaint weddings, to the loud and colourful. When a wedding can include something unique and important to the couple, I cannot be more stoked for them. We can accommodate any out-of-the-box elements!
What happens if I can’t secure my date?
As much as I would love to photograph every wedding that I get inquiries for, it is important for me to get the non-refundable retainer and signed contract for your date so that I guarantee it’s held exclusively for you. If I happen to receive more than one inquiry for the same date, it’s first-come, first-served.
What if my date changes or I have to cancel?
I completely understand that circumstances that may be out of our control happens. If your wedding date changes or you have to outright cancel, please reach out as soon as possible so we can find a solution. Your change may result in a rescheduling fee.
How many images will I receive?
Based on the package you book, you will be receiving the minimum amount of photos correlated. I don’t believe in withholding any of your images from your wedding either, so any I find worthy of sharing, I will send them along!
What is your turnaround time?
I am very selective and careful when it comes to my editing process for each wedding. My turnaround times for weddings can take 6-8 weeks and 8-10 weeks during the busier months (July-Sept). I always send along sneak peeks within 24-48 hours for you to relive some of your favourite moments of your day.
How do you keep our photos safe?
I ensure that I shoot every wedding on two different cards for each camera (a very common fail-safe!) then backup every photo on to two separate hard drives that are kept in a fire-proof safe. No photo is deleted until well after the final gallery is sent to the couple. Backups are guaranteed!
Do we need to have two photographers?
A second photographer is a great add-on for any wedding! There may be weddings which may require a second photographer, however this will be discussed upon our introductory meeting. Please be as specific as you can be upon inquiring! Please note that a second photographer is complimentary for my 10-hour package.
